John A. Nelson is a seasoned Aerial Firefighting Airworthiness Consultant and Subject Matter Expert with over 40 years of aviation maintenance experience. He is widely recognized for his leadership in developing and enforcing airworthiness policy and standards for the USDA Forest Service’s aerial firefighting fleet, including airtankers, helicopters, light fixed-wing aircraft, and UAS platforms.
